CHIA! The Super Food
When I was visiting Vancouver, my friend Kimmie and I found this health food vendor who was selling this healthy breakfast cereal at Granville Island. One of the main ingredients in this breakfast mix was Chia (Salvia hispanica). So, I looked it up on-line. Did you know that Chia is SUPER FOOD?!?!?!?!?

1. Mix 2 tablespoons of the mix with 1/2 cup of Almond Milk (or Non-Fat Milk or any milk you choose) and wait for 5-10 min. until Chia seeds are gelatinous.
2. Add 1 chopped banana to the mixture above.
So easy right? and great way to start your day! You have to keep the mixture in the fridge. This mixture is rich in Omega3 & 6, fiber, essential fatty acids, vitamin Cs and much more!!! I can’t even begin to explain how great it is! Just make sure you don’t over eat though…everything is better in moderation. They are SUPER nutritious and this mixture is about 350-400 calories.
