My apple pie!
So, I’m working on another specialty dessert concoction. I’m not a big apple person… but apple is so delicious and abundant this time of the year, so I decided to come up with a dessert using apple. So here is what I came up with in my test kitchen. Apple and goji berry custard cream pie with apple gellée. I think Goji berry adds depth to the flavor of cooked apple. The pie was a HIT. I had 8 of our poker friends taste them and I think they liked it… since the whole pie was DONE at the end of the night. YEY! Thanks to my guinea pigs.
I have shiso plants growing on my porch garden and the other day, the flowers bloomed!! They are so pretty and it’s one of my favorite Japanese herb for sure!
