Honey & Balsamic Wings

I rarely make Chicken wings… but was craving them… so I got some fresh wings  and made these Honey & Balsamic Wings. These are so addictive. I even wrote down recipes! Try them at home… it’s a great party food. You can also replace wings for Thighs or Drumstick if you like.

Honey & Balsamic Wings
(Serving size 2-3 people)

Brine Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup of Hot Water

1/3 cup of Sugar
1/3 cup of Salt
2 Tbsp of honey

6 sprigs of Thyme

4 cloves of garlic
1/2 med. onion roughly chopped
2 bay leaves
1/2 a lemon
20 white whole peppercorns
3 cups of cold water
1 cup of ice
3 lbs of Chicken wings

3 Tbsp of Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tbsp of Honey
1 Tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbsp of Salt
1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper (If you like it spicy, you can add another 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper)

1. In Hot water, mix sugar, salt & honey until dissolved
2. Add thyme,
Thyme, garlic, onion, bay leaves, lemon, & white peppercorns in to the mixture
3. Pour cold water & ice to cool the mixture down
4. submerge the chicken in to the brine, cover and refrigerate for 10-12 hours (See image on the top left corner)

5. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees
6. In a small bowl, mix
Balsamic Vine
gar, Honey, Worcestershire Sauce, Salt & cayenne pepper
7. Take the wings out of the brine and tap the excess water off using paper towels and place them on the aluminum foil lined baking sheet. (Lining them with foil makes it easier to clean later, see top right image)
8. Pour the #6 mixture on to the wings on the baking sheet and make sure all the wings are coated with the sauce. Bake in 325 degrees oven
9. After 35min., flip the wings over to make sure skin side is facing up and pump the heat up to 375 degrees (See the lower left corner image)
10. Bake it for another 20-25 min. or until the skin is browned nicely (See the lower right image)
11. Take them out and garnish it with greens to add color and ENJOY!
